Two-Week Spring Course — Athens

An intensive artistic reset in the birthplace of theatre

Shift your ground

Train with intensity in a city shaped by theatre, presence, and artistic legacy

Away from your usual environment, you are invited to challenge your habits, take creative risks, and reconnect with the essence of performance. A focused and transformative experience rooted in immediacy, culture, and artistic exploration

about the programme

The Two-Week Spring Course in Athens is a high-intensity, standalone programme designed to immerse actors in the essential principles of performance within a unique cultural and artistic environment.

Set in a city with a profound theatrical heritage, the course places a strong emphasis on presence, ensemble, and immediacy. Actors engage in a rigorous daily practice combining acting technique, voice, physical work, and text, while being encouraged to take creative risks and challenge their habitual patterns.

The condensed format creates a heightened level of focus and commitment, allowing participants to access a direct and dynamic relationship to the work. The experience is both demanding and energising, offering a sharp re-connection to the actor’s instrument.

Distinct from the summer pathway, the Easter course is conceived as a complete and self-contained experience — an opportunity to step into the training, reset, and re-engage with clarity and intensity.

This programme offers a rare balance between intensity and duration, allowing actors to move beyond initial exploration into committing to brave choices. Over two weeks, the work deepens, and becomes embodied through repetition and sustained practice. The structure supports a genuine progression, where craft are is only discovered, but owned.
